2006 resolutions:

1. as most people aim to, i've made up my mind that once i feel that its the right time to start, i will be more hardworking than i've ever been in fifteen years, do my very best and achieve my target of eight points and below for O levels' 2006. i will make sure i earn the full right to get into the jc i want to (probably tjc or vjc) and not disappoint my parents.

2. i will attempt to change into a better person than i am now and learn to do the right things at the right time. i will try not to hurt my friends unknowningly anymore and stop being too sensitive towards what others say to me.

3. i'll learn to treasure my friends and family more and catch up with people i've drifted away from. (ah, looking forward to cny with ruth and jinci. (: )

DON'T ever buy combo 3 (2 pepsi and 1 tub of popcorn) in bugis if you're planning to share it between two people. you will not regret heeding my advice.
it isn't a TUB of popcorn, its practically a PAIL of popcorn. you should see the look on my face and polly's when the cashier put the filled tub on the table. we stopped talking abruptly and simply stared at it for some three seconds before we started laughing. the cashier doesn't look surprised thou, i think everybody would have given that look.
and bugis's cinemas should show their letterings on the rows of seats more clearly. polly had to shine a torch onto it and it was really some five min before we found our seats. a lot of people who came in only 3 min late had a hard time finding their seats too. (this is the first movie which started so punctually.) we missed the first five min of the show due to us trying to find our seats. it was so dark you practically cant see if the seats in front of you had people sitting in it.

narnia itself was quite a good movie though. my brother says its a 'children movie'. well its really your point of view. cos the plot itself is very like a children's story, but it was filmed well. it's quite interesting, can you imagine just opening a wardrobe and stumbling straight into a world you never knew existed?

was reading polly's entry and was thinking i should do something like that too.
sum up the events of the year 2005.
well its been a really meaningful year, compared to 2003 and 2004 when i was in lower secondary.

1.i grew much closer to phy. my impression of her changed a lot. both for the better and for the worse xD but mostly better lah. heehee.
2. i did badly for amaths for the first half of the year. the only common test i scored an A was the one on logarithm. but i improved a lot for the second half of the year, thanks to mrs chia (:
3. i dreaded OAC for the first two months of the year. however when it comes to the actual six days, i enjoyed myself thoroughly. it was a brand new experience.
4. i had a crush on somebody from early march until now.
5. i started hanging out with the pigs after OAC.
6. i enjoyed the guzheng sessions before SYF. very much. i cant think why too, but its true. i felt a sudden strong sense of belonging to gz.
7. i remember clutching teresa when the SYF results were about to be announced. and we got a GOLD (:
8. energy's final album was released on june 4th.
9. i spent my june holidays doing 30 hours of cip.
10. something great happened on june 29th. (i just cant forget this day.)
11. i started being a leader on july 6th.
12. i took my O levels chinese oral on 8th july.
13. i attended energy's goodbye singapore concert on july 9th.
14. amelia's nails flew off during our national day performance.
15. i had my grade 8 piano exam on sept 14th.
16. i started mugging hard for EYEs after september holidays. i was quite determined to do well.
17. EYEs started with english on 23rd sept.
18. 5th to 10th were the days where it was EYE madness. i was stressed to the extent that i mug till after 2am in the morning and dream of notes and calculations in the night.
19. i went quite mad after physics EYE exam.
20. for the rest of the school term i forced myself to study for O levels chinese while everyone else were playing.
21. i took O levels chinese on the 31st october.
22. nov 1st was spent at hsuan's house. we had the most unsuccessful bbq ever. xP
23. i heard the news of energy disbanding on nov 3.
24. my mother went away for 20 days during the nov-dec holidays.
25. i learnt how to appreciate my mother a lot more after that.
26. some times of the year were spent in depression. i come in and out of it often.
27. i felt happy going to school bcos of certain reasons (:
28. i had two serious arguements with polly this year. (or more?)
29. i discovered how bad it is to be a over-sensitive person. you just get upset unneccessarily.
30. i cried a lot in the last two months of the year.

random comments about hongkong:

1. hongkong is not a bad place to live in.
2. one day, i shall try wearing boots. high class boots (:
3. singapore's service standard is LOUSY. hongkong-ers are so much nicer.
4. can you imagine a mrt station passageway filled with LEVI's ads? the whole stretch. and of cos, full of jielun's face cos he is the one who dai yan levi's. i took lotsa photos. heehee.
5. i think i grew 2 kg heavier.
6. hongkong lives up to its name as a shopping and eating paradise.
7. i spent about $300+ there. maybe even $400 - $500. im not sure.
8. i bought 2 pair of long pants, 3 shirts, 4 pairs of earrings, a clock, a mickeymouse file, mickey and minnie mouse gong-zai(s) which nod their heads when you touch them, underwears (heehee), a mickey mouse keychain, a handphone gemini keychain, and a pullover. (lousy de. costs 9 sg bucks. heh.) that's all i can remember, i think there's more.
9. i bought disneyland lollipops for my grp of 2H04 friends!
10. i LOVE disney.
11. disneyland was lousy for a theme park, but fanastic for a magical, enchanting place which brings back childhood memories. i didnt want to leave.
12. my hotel was next to a muslim and catholic cemetry. but i slept comfortably all four nights (:
13. singapore's english standard is superb. trust me, you'll think that if you speak to hongkong-ers.
14. i have a strong, desperate urge to learn cantonese when i was in hongkong.
15. when i earn more money i will collect disney things and make my room disney-licious.
16. i wana visit japan's and america's disneylands.
17. i like this shop called xu liu shan. DELICIOUS man.
18. hongkong's weather rocks. if i lived in hk i would just go out everyday.
19. jetstar asia uses receipts for their air tickets.
20. i love it when its christmas. seeing xmas decorations everywhere. humming xmas songs in your head.
21. majority of the hongkong-ers like wearing dark-coloured coats. like black and brown.

23. bcos i cant speak cantonese, all i can do is to push my way roughly through the crowd cos i just cant say excuse me. (they wouldnt think you were talking to them) anyway its alright, cos after that they are still strangers. nvm abt the impression they have abt you.
24. harry potter just started airing in hongkong cinemas on 22th dec.
25. i learnt how to say 'please mind the gap' in cantonese. (cant help it, i take the mrt everyday there.)
26. hk students like wearing their socks REALLY HIGH.

28. hongkong shops close at about 11.30pm. unlike sg, they close at around 9.30 - 10pm.

i think working is damn good.
you may get tired and so. but you get ur pay.

ooh. and i like nokia N70! whahaha. i like the black of the phone. the kik-kiak thing that reveals the cam when you push it down. heh heh heh. was having fun trying out at the nokia shops where they put up model phones for you to try on. 8800 is nice and classic. but i decided i dun like it when you push it up to use cos it makes the phone looks long. hmm. and i noe i'll get sick of it just like how i got sick of flipping my phone everytime. heh heh. (last time i thought it fun too. urgh)

whew, finally finished ONE (yes, one pathetic set) emaths paper today. haha. it was much easier than i expected it to be. i didn't rust as much as i thought i did. but im sure its only for emaths. amaths is different, it gets horribly horribly rusty if you dun touch anything for over a month.
i think 2004's emaths end year was much easier than 2005's, the one we had. i thought it was another school's paper cos it was unlikely that cedar would give such an easy paper (its proven over my 3 years in cedar).

another week, and i will finally see my mother again.
wow i actually survived two weeks. wasn't as bad as i thought, but i still miss her badly.
everytime i talk to her at night over the phone it makes me wana cry ):
